For many of us, the idea of a perfect trip doesn’t involve hopping on a plane. Rather, it includes hitting the open road in an RV and exploring different parts of the country. If you choose this route for your next trip, here are 6 Nevada RV Parks that you must see.

There are so many amazing RV sites in Nevada that can make it one to remember. As you narrow down your destination in the Silver State, consider these RV parks as part of your next trip. Weather you were looking to see Lake Mead or Great Basin National Park, or anywhere along the way, this list has you covered.

1.   Sparks Marina RV Park

If it’s features and amenities you’re looking for in a Nevada RV park, then Sparks Marina RV Park needs to be on your list.

First for the basics. You’ll find big pull-through spaces with 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer hookups. There is also free cable and Wi-Fi access. Enjoy laundry facilities onsite as well as private bathrooms and showers.

As for amenities, this is one RV site that offers a swimming pool as well as a hot tub for its guests. There is also a camp store, fitness center, and BBQ area. Enjoy a putting green and outdoor fire pit during your stay as well.

When you want to venture out, Sparks Marina RV Park provides easy access to all of the excitement that Reno has to offer. If you love the outdoors, you can visit Sparks Marina Park. Here you’ll find windsurfing, sailing, boating, and skiing. There’s an activity for everyone!

You’ll also find Lake Tahoe State Park is less than an hour away. Take a day trip there and return to your RV resort for some rest and relaxation.

2.   Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort

When people think of Nevada, they immediately think of Las Vegas. But, not all trips to Vegas have to be glitz and glamour. There are also Las Vegas RV sites when you want a different twist to your visit to Sin City.

If you’re looking for more of an RV resort than a place for RV camping, the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort could be a great match for your next trip.

Here you’ll find full hookups for electric, water, and sewer. There is also cable TV, Wi-Fi access, and landline phones.

This location stands out among RV sites because of its many amenities. This includes a 10,000 square foot entertainment facility, swimming pools, spa, and fitness center. The entertainment facility is equipped with a flatscreen TV, concert hall, and outdoor kitchen. Cardrooms, a billiard room, library, and theater all await visitors during their stay. There’s even a 50’s themed diner on-site.

When you want to venture off the property, you can ask the concierge service for information about all of the exciting nightlife that Las Vegas has to offer.

3.   Cathedral Gorge State Park

When you’re looking for Nevada RV Parks that offer great surroundings, you may want to visit Cathedral Gorge State Park. You’re not going to find luxurious amenities like swimming pools or hot tubs like you would in other RV resorts, but you’ll find a connection to the great outdoors that is unmatched.

Here you can take advantage of full-electric hookups and water sources throughout the site. Showers are also available.

During your visit, take in all of the sites that Cathedral Gorge State Park has to offer. The park includes a good amount of public land. There are several hiking trails to take advantage of that provide views of spires, caverns, and other unique formations that have developed over time.

Erosion has helped to carve unique patterns into the soft bentonite clay that surrounds the park. Years ago, it was the site of explosive volcanic activity that deposited layers of ash.

The park is also known as a good vantage point for bird watching. There are hummingbirds, kestrels, and more to see.

With so much to do, a visit to Cathedral Gorge State Park can provide a relaxing trip for anyone looking to get away.

4.   Valley of Fire State Park

When you’re looking for RV parks and campgrounds in Nevada that are known for their natural beauty, Valley of Fire State Park fits the bill.

The Valley of Fire State Park is a world-famous destination. It spans some 40,000 acres and is known for its red Aztec sandstone bluffs. It’s hard to believe that the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas is just about an hour away from the park. For visitors who want a taste of both worlds, this provides the perfect location.

Between all of this natural beauty are campgrounds and RV sites, making for the perfect backdrop for your next trip. The RV sites include full hookups for electricity and water, as well as a dump station.

At the Visitor Center, you can learn about geology, ecology, and the history of the park and nearby area. Take advantage of the nearby trails for some pretty amazing hikes. When you return to the park, relax at one of several shaded table areas and grill sites.

5.   Esmeralda Market, RV Park and Cabins

As you search for Nevada RV Parks, you’ll find that Esmeralda Market, RV Park and Cabins, is a favorite because of its location. You can find it between Las Vegas and Reno. While there’s plenty of excitement in both of those cities, many visitors also enjoy the RV site’s proximity to Death Valley National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Inyo National Forest. There is also the nearby Esmeralda Market when you want to explore the area.

At the Esmeralda RV Park, you’ll find 23 RV spaces with campground facilities as well. There are full hookups for water, electricity, and sewer. The site offers two restrooms and showers as well as a picnic area for guests. Wi-Fi access is available and the RV park is pet friendly.

The park offers RV rental space for daily, weekly, and monthly rates.

6.   Mountain Shadows RV Park

Last, but certainly not least on our list of Nevada RV Parks to put on your must-see list is Mountain Shadows RV Park. Located in Wells, which is in the northeastern corner of the Silver State, this RV site may seem isolated, but don’t let that fool you. There is still plenty to do and see in the area.

The park offers full utility hookups as well as cable TV and Wi-Fi access. There are also laundry facilities, bathrooms, and showers for guests.

Wells is located near the Humboldt and Ruby Mountains. This area is known for its hiking, biking, and fishing. Take advantage of nearby Angel Lake, popular for its fishing spots where there is plenty of bass. The Grays Lake trail is also home to many wildlife such as mountain goats, deer, and antelope.

When you want to check out the surrounding area, be sure to visit downtown Wells which is known for its old west authenticity. Stop by the Emigrant Trail Center to hear the story of the area’s role in the Wild West.

In the downtown area,  you’ll also find Chimney Rock Golf Course which offers nine holes of golf with a great view as well as restaurants and a casino.

The Bottom Line on Nevada RV Parks

As you search for the best Nevada RV parks to visit, remember three things:

  • Location
  • Amenities
  • Activities

Think about where you want to be, what you want to be doing, and what features you want to await you at your RV rental site. These will all help you find an RV Park in Nevada that will make your trip one to remember.
