Picking the right vacation spots for young travelers can be difficult. They have a unique set of needs that can be challenging to meet at some destinations.
Here are a few of my top picks for places to visit with little ones.
With options in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos, these luxury family-friendly oceanfront resorts cater to families. Through their partnership with Sesame Street, there are many activities for your young ones to choose from like Baking Cookies with Cookie Monster, Counting with The Count and a great big parade that culminates with a beach party. The pool areas and water parks have terrific areas so the kids can safely play and all of their favorite foods are available in their numerous restaurants.
Great Wolf Lodge There are locations throughout the USA making these hotels with indoor water parks easily accessible for everyone. It might be cold or rainy outside, but inside Great Wolf Lodge, it is always warm and water playtime. The pool areas and slides are designed for all different ages so everyone has a place that is perfect. Accommodations are designed with families in mind and it’s the ideal place for mom and dad to have fun too.
If you take one cruise with your children, make it a Disney Cruise. All staterooms are family-friendly with plenty of sleeping room for all and two bathroom areas that have both a shower and tub to make bath time easy. Guests rotate through different dining experiences and their wait staff travels with them. The character interactions, entertainment and kid’s clubs are some of the best I have seen at sea and I guarantee there are many magical moments for the whole family.
Legoland Parks and Hotels
There are currently two parks in Orlando and Carlsbad with a third opening shortly in New York. These LEGO inspired theme parks have been designed with kids ages 2-12 in mind. Rides and attractions are age-appropriate so the little ones can enjoy them with plenty to choose from. Hotel Rooms are based on different LEGO characters and spacious with a separate sleeping area for kids so everyone has adequate space and privacy.
