5 Books That Inspired Me to Think and Act Differently

It makes me feel so good when people share that they have been inspired by me.  My goal is to do exactly that.  There are several authors who inspire me and I want to share some books I highly recommend because they have been very meaningful.

1. You Are A Bad Ass and You Are A Bad Ass Every Day by Jen Sincero.

I gave these books as holiday gifts for the last two years. I love her direct, relatable tone that provides the opportunity to learn, grown and gain self-confidence.

2. Elevate, An Essential Guide To Life by John Deitch

This book changed my life.  It has a two-part approach that allows you to both gain awareness and then take action.  Once you “see” something about yourself, you can’t “unsee” it.  One of my all-time favorites.

3. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
It’s a classic.  Probably one of the first “self-help” books I ever read.  It’s one I go back to every few years because there are always nuggets to take from it.

4. The Gifts Of Imperfection by Brenee Brown

We all strive for perfection when really what makes us so special and unique is that we are imperfect.   This book was an eye-opener for me and turned me on to this author.  You might consider looking up her speaking on YouTube because she is funny, entertaining and a great motivational speaker.

5. Simple Abundance and The Simple Abundance Journal by Sarah Ban Breathnach

This is an oldie but goodie that I go back to year after year.  It is a daily reading that focuses on gratitude. I also use the companion journal and write down things I am grateful for each day.
