The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona

When it comes to a luxurious vacation, The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona does not disappoint.  I visited with my daughter and her puppy Lou Fur Igno and we all enjoyed it tremendously.  Their COVID protocol is solid and creates an environment that feels safe, welcoming, and relaxing.

Accommodations are spacious with a wide variety of rooms to choose from.  Standard rooms are well-appointed with balconies or patios and there are 26 luxurious suites.  Casitas feature fire pits, grass lawns and can be booked as standard, one-bedroom, or two bedrooms so there is something for every type of traveler.  Each room has a Southwestern vibe to it and includes amazing bath products from Byredo.

There are seven different pool areas to choose from so there is always plenty of space to spread out and soak up the sun.  There is a family-friendly area with a water slide, an adults-only pool, a dedicated spa pool, and several others.  Cabanas are available for day use and there are numerous lounge chairs with an attentive pool staff to tend to your needs from setting up a spot to bringing lunch or beverages.

I did not have one meal that I didn’t absolutely love at The Phoenician.  The menu has a Southwestern flair to it that includes flavor profiles from the region.  I love a good steak and the meal and the dinner at Mowry and Cotton exceeded expectations.  My favorite food experience was lunch by the pool from Kalio Kabobery, a Mediterranean inspired eatery with kabobs, hummus, gyros, and much more.  Outdoor dining on the property is abundant so you can dine and enjoy the beautiful weather year-round.

It has been a LONG time since I visited a spa and I am so impressed that The Phoenician has not missed a beat when it comes to implementing COVID protocol while still providing the best possible spa experience.  The number of guests is limited, masks are required and temperatures are checked upon entering the facility.  They offer traditional services like massages and facials and also have created unique offerings that incorporate a true sense of place. I felt safe, relaxed, and pampered during my time at the spa.

The Phoenician is the ideal spot to recharge your batteries.  It is an easy road trip from California, a great stay-cation option and when the time is right, the perfect place to get away and unwind.
