5 Questions with Lifestyle Blogger, Travel Enthusiast, and Style Maven Stacey Freeman

Dr. Stacey Freeman is an amazing woman. Our paths first crossed two years ago at social media on the sand at beaches in Turks and Caicos. We quickly developed a friendship, and she is someone I respect and admire. Stacey lives in Los Angeles, is the mom of two amazing kids, and publishes Posh in Progress, her lifestyle blog meant to capture simple and sensible ways to live a more stylish life. I recently interviewed her about all things travel, her favorite road trips, and traveling during COVID19.

Where did you grow up and do remember taking any family road trips as a kid?

I’m from Green Bay, WI. In the summer, we would travel to Upper Michigan to hang out at my grandparent’s home, which was right on Lake Superior. I credit all those trips to my love of nature and the ocean. The great lakes have beaches and waves just like the ocean, so it solidified my love of being near open water. As a teenager, we took many road trips to Florida to escape the cold winters. I still love to visit Florida in the winter – you can’t beat that tropical sunshine.

Is there one destination that you would label your favorite?  If so, where and why?

Italy has been my favorite destination. I was lucky enough to get to visit Rome, Naples, Positano, Milan, and Florence a few years ago. My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Italy, so it was a very special experience to get to visit their tiny village and take in my family’s heritage.

You spend a lot of time exploring Southern California and have been sharing some hidden gems through your social media.  What is one that you find really special?

Just a few weeks ago, I found my new favorite beach and a true hidden gem in Orange County. Victoria Beach, in Laguna Beach, has breathtaking views, large waves, and a unique castle-like structure referred to as the Pirate’s Tower.

When the time is right and it is safe to travel again, where is some place you would love to go?

Greece has been on the top of my bucket list for a really long time. I was actually supposed to go there this summer before COVID happened. I know I’ll get there one day. I am also dying to get back to Puerto Vallarta and Turks and Caicos for a truly relaxing tropical vacation.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
