Chicago really is my kind of town! Here are four fun things to do when visiting The Windy City.
ART ON THE MART
The world’s largest permanent digital art projection in the world is located in Chicago. Artists are showcased with a magnificent visual display accompanied by bespoke audio that can be heard through speakers on the Riverwalk Jetty while projections are running. Art On The Mart is best viewed from The Riverwalk between Wells and Lake.
THE BROOKFIELD ZOO
Located 14 miles west of Downtown Chicago, accessible by train, bus, or car, this internationally renowned zoo is home to more than 2300 animals. The Brookfield Zoo strives to inspire conservation leadership by engaging people with nature and wildlife. There are plenty of educational opportunities with hands-on activities led by animal ambassadors.
CHICAGO MAGIC LOUNGE
Hid behind a secret entrance on Clark Street, this magical experience provides a momentary escape from the real world. The Chicago Magic Lounge specializes in close up, sleight of hand, and parlor magic in an intimate setting featuring three separate performance spaces. Enjoy food and drink in this fun environment while seeing some of the best magicians in the country.
JOFFREY BALLET CHICAGO
The Joffrey Ballet is a world-class Chicago based ballet company and dance education organization. Celebrating their 65th season, performances rotate throughout the year with the holiday favorite The Nutcracker an annual favorite. There are terrific restaurants close by making The Joffrey a special night out.
