One of my favorite boutique resorts lies just at the foot of one of Arizona's most beautiful landscapes. This stylish and beautiful property is a must visit resort.

There are tons of great resorts in Scottsdale, Arizona but Mountain Shadows resort is easily my favorite. This legendary and historic hotel has been completely rebuilt and transformed in to a modern boutique resort. Sitting in front of the iconic Camelback Mountain backdrop, this property is stunning both inside and out.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

This property is perfectly located for the greater Phoenix Area, being only 30 minutes away from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport and10 minutes away from all the fun and excitement of Old Town Scottsdale.

THE ROOMS

There are two different types of rooms from the classic hotel style resort guestrooms to the larger Residences featuring full kitchens and bigger living spaces. The residences are perfect if you’re planning an extended stay. Both room types are beautifully laid out and easily some of the best hotel rooms for the price.

THE POOL & GYM

The Pool is centrally located between the Residence Tower and Resort Guestroom tower. This pool is split in to a lower and upper level and surrounded by Cabanas and Umbrellas to keep you shaded. At the far end of the pool is a very spacious and large hot tub which is always enjoyable even in the warmer months. The pool scene is the perfect combination for a relaxing getaway in the sun with a party atmosphere with friends or family.

The Gym sits behind the Pool and is a very spacious gym for a resort of this size. There is a lot of machines and cardio equipment but the best part is the open room which features so many different types of equipment from Medicine Balls, to TRX bands, to Pilates machines.

GOLF

Surrounding the property is The Short Course which is a great 18 hole par 3 Golf Course. This course makes for fun and fast rounds of golf perfect for beginners or advanced golfers. This renowned golf course was even ranked the “Best Par-3 Course” in America.

DINING

Whether you are looking to dine in room, at the pool, or experience fine dining, there are plenty of options for you at the resort.

Hearth 61 is the award winning fine dining on property for breakfast through dinner. The meals and preparations are top notch.

Rusty’s is the lounge area out back just at the end of the golf course. Enjoy breakfast or lunch while you overlook the view of Camelback Mountain. This is also a great place for Drinks & Cigars after a round of golf.

The Citizens Club is your go to place for lunch or drinks while enjoying your day by the pool. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail or a light and delicious lunch. Servers walk around all day so you don’t have to miss a beat.

Room Service is always a great option especially since you won’t want to leave the amazing bedrooms on property. Whether it’s a late breakfast or a late night snack, the resort has you covered!

This property has been a favorite of The Travel Mom dating back to her wedding at this original property. From the past tk the present, this is and has always been a great property to book in Arizona.
