As the world starts to open up again, there are many questions about international travel.
Here are three important things you need to know before you go.
- Each country dictates the requirements for entry. You may be asked to submit a travel health visa, health questionnaire and additional information such as a vaccination card and/or proof of a negative Covid test within a specific time frame before traveling. Most countries require these at least 72 hours before visiting, so make sure and investigate the necessary steps to ensure admission to your destination.
- The CDC requires a negative Covid test before boarding a return flight back to the United States. Many resorts are offering these free of charge to guests staying a minimum number of nights. Check in advance to see if your hotel is providing tests or if it is necessary to find an alternate location.
- Protocol varies depending on where you are traveling. Some destinations require masks while others have adjusted their rules. The best way to learn about what is expected where you are visiting is to look at the government travel website. Additionally, check with your hotel regarding their specific situation.
